For this movie to come out so soon after September 11th, I think that basically ruined the public reaction to the movie- the studio should have waited another year to put it out, the weak reaction at the time was reflective in the box office. I'm not sure that this even ended up on DVD at all.

shareAgreed with Wendy Davis, the release date has nothing to do with 9/11. Although the effects of 9/11 were felt all over the U.S. It didn't stop people from going about their lives as usual. I know Hollywood took a hit in ticket sales, but there are 3 films that were released in the months after the attack that nobody really saw. The Last Castle, The Majestic & Life As A House. I think all 3 have some merit to them, none of them perfect, but hey that's the way it goes sometimes.
