I know it was filmed in Tennessee, but was it actually SET in Tennessee? Does anyone know the town name where it's allegedly located in the movie?
shareIt is a reference to the old USDB located on Ft. Leavenworth, KS. That structure, which was torn down in 2004, was referred to as The Castle. The new DB at Ft. Leavenworth opened in 2002.

If I remember correctly, in the movie, when General Irwin receives a letter from his daughter containing new photos of his grandson, the very quick glimpse of the prison address on the envelope, does say something odd like, 'Leavenworth, TN', but I am pretty sure about the 'TN' abbreviation.
As I state this is only from memory, and the full envelope can only be seen in the Widescreen version.
If you're watching pretty close, in Col. Winter's office, there is a Tennessee state flag along with the US flag, behind his desk by the window.
