I was very offended by this movie

Why can black people be so openly racist towards white people and expect nothing to be said but if a white person so much as hints towards any form of racism black people get so offended?

I’m only saying what every other white person is thinking

You're too much sensitive then. Another PC *beep* We mind as well live in a world where censorship is prevalent just because some people find that some films are racist.

reply

No I'm not too sensitive. The whole film was racist from start to finish. It's one thing to add a joke here or there but Lawrence was making race an issue in almost every scene. Are you retarded or something not to notice this?

reply

But... that's the joke.

And Martin Lawrence didn't, the character he portrayed did.

I don't understand why people think it is offensive.

If the film would have been really racist as you are saying, Martin Lawrence character's actions wouldn't have been challenged all the time. His attitude is often shown as wrong and clearly in contradiction to the facts. To be truly racist, the movie would have needed to state that he was right the entire time and the others acting against him did wrong. But that was never the case! Lawrence's character even lost the respect of other black people, when his lie about the arrest was discovered.
No offense, but I do think you are a little too sensitive.

reply

Agreed.

Martin Lawrence's character in this movie with his inverted racism, prejudice and bigotry was just awful.

It wasn't even funny (if it was intended to be) and the character was just so appalling.

I can't believe they thought a character who constantly spouts inward racism comments would be liked and accepted by any audience (unless they too are also introvertedly racist themselves).
He was very unlikeable. Which is a shame because I thought this was a pretty good movie actually.

Martin really made this movie unbearable with his racial banting. I wanted to slap him myself. I really felt sorry for the guy who played Hank, lol.
