Just watched this again last night
I own the DVD but it's streaming in HD on Netflix so I thought I'd watch it that way. Ten years later, this flick still holds up. I've watched it numerous times and have to say that it's probably Jet Li's best English language film. The story boils down to "One Good Chinese Cop vs. the sleazy, ultra-violent Paris underworld" but that's really all you need.
It's awesome that Jet Li listened to his fans after their disappointment at "Romeo Must Die" and delivered a film that was heavy on good choreography and low on wire work/CGI. Luc Besson always seemed a better fit for Jet Li than Joel Silver.
