Did any of you figure out that Benicio Del Toro's character is an animal rights activist? He's the kind against killing animals for anything especially food. I think that he's individual and isn't associated with PETA or ALF.

In real life members of ALF attack fishermen and hunters. They even destroy lobster or crab traps. They could even destroy fishing equipment.

Real life members of ALF have vandalized KFC and McDonalds. There were even real life activists who have blown up dairy trucks and burned down slaughthouses and released the animals. There were real life ALF members making bomb threats to Red Lobster.

Benicio Del Toro plays someone who cares very much about the animals.
