This film has surprisingly powerful musical score.
Very strong Jerry Goldsmith style atmosphere mixed with sharp electronic sounds and jarring ambient. I recommend finding the Complete Score.

Glad you mentioned it. When I first saw this movie on dvd, the score jumped out at me at times.
Interesting to note... I remember REALLY noticing the score during the Jones/del Toro chase through Portland. When I watched the film with the Friedkin commentary, I was pleased to notice he started talking about the music at the exact same moment. Good synergy, or maybe just good scoring and mixing.
