Continuity Issue,with the other 2 films

After rewatching this awesome movie today,I noticed something.

The father gives Manny the necklace,and Manny seems touched by it,he said earlier to the baby that they would never forget him.

I would think if that where true,he would still have had the necklace in the other two films.

Yes,I know its just a small thing,and of course he "could" have lost it along the way. But dont you think it would have been a nice little moment to have seen him still have the necklace and maybe stop a sec and remember the baby?

Just my thoughts.

He doesn't need the necklace to remember pinky, Sid'll do that. If they ever do meet the humans again he'll just pull it out of his tuft where he's been hiding it and daddy (who'll inevitably be there) will recognise it and spare his and Ellie's lives.

I was thinking the same thing. But I didn't like the sequels at all so it obviously wasn't the only thing that bothered me.

You are right. While I think he did lose it or left it somewhere soon after the events of the first film, it would have been nice see him remember the human baby some time again, at last when he was about to become a father him self. Just for a second.

What I also think strange is that humans are never ever mentioned again, like, not even mentioned, like they don´t exist. Why?
