The best is Papa Roach playing at the end and Jet Li fighting infinite dudes in the prison dimension. Obviously there needs to be a sequel 20 years later where he's just about done killing everyone in that dimension and moving on to become the One again.
I wish that there was a remake starring Dwayne Johnson (the original choice for the two main roles). When I first saw this film in the early noughties, I felt like I was watching a heavily cut version of a more ambitious story. The cop chase through the multiverses would be a standalone film in of itself, but the character development (or rather the power development) of the hero was never fully explored. You don't see him gradually become better in every way.
A movie about killing the first alternate version of himself and getting drunk on that growth in power/ability would be pretty sweet. Delroy Lindo's speech to Jet Li in jail before he got killed (trying to connect with him) also hinted at a pretty awesome character relationship/friendship that would be awesome to revist. Delroy Lindo really good at those speeches, he did one very similar in Gone with 60 Seconds about brotherhood or something and it gave teenage-me the feels!
