So why isn't everyone getting stronger?

one jet li is killing other jet li's and getting stronger because of it, by logic, the remaining jet li also gets stronger and they divide the power 50/50, evil jet li wants to kill good jet li to be "the one" and have 100% of the power.

thats all nice and cool but one question.. why isn't everyone in the world geting stronger when the "you" of another dimention dies in a car crash or whatever? wouldn't that shorten the "power flow" as well?

Since there are so many universes, if only one of your alternate self died, the power transferred to you would be very small, considering it has to be split with everyone else also.

I have no *beep* idea why anyone needs to explain this to you, moron.

Every universe is a closed system. There are some where your other self never existed, some where they did. Regardless, every single time one of your other selves die, you also die. Not because they die, but because that universe coincides with your universe. Everything in one universe is geared towards the death of your other self in a ski'ing accident in that universe, while in your universe it exactly coincides with yourself in this universe where you die at the same time in a car crash. And same goes for all your other alternate selves.

It is a closed system that runs exactly as the other does in relation to your deaths.

With the dimensional traveling, it becomes an OPEN system. You, as an outside force, can change the set system in another universe other than your own.

You can now kill those out of place, creating the One system of empowerment.

the movie is running under the premise of balance. that means theres a natural order to the 125 yulaws and naturally it's impossible for 124 of them to die within a year or 2 apart thereby making 125th the one.

i think theres a new universe every 10-20 years, and so by the same 5-6 yulaws die of natural means theres 3-4 other versions to spread the energy among and sustain the balance. they're also probably running at different times, so yulaw could be 40 in one and 15 in an other.

Was that one of the possible outcomes of being the one?
1) universe ends
2) become a god
3) come round my house and eat my chicken dinner

This is what I think:

There are exactly 125 universes in the movie. So if there are 125 different versions of myself then it is safe to say that 25 versions can die before I have any "superhuman" effects start to show. Yulaw had killed 123 versions of himself splitting the energy 50/50, but the other characters might have not reached that "+25 dead" mark so their increase would not be apparent. Now naturally before any body goes past that "+25 dead" mark I believe thats when all the different versions would synchronously die together. It's all about balance!

Yulaw/Law/Lawless proves in this movie that one doesn't have to be in the same universe in order to be affected by the increase.

They did have that scene in the movie where that copy of Jet Li's character in prison was being shot at by Yulaw, and he had some powers because he dented the truck or something.

easy way to work out how strong yulaw is is compare the whole energy to a carton of milk. lets assume a carton of milk is 125mml in volume(125 yulaws)

if we separate 100mml of milk from the carton and divide it between 25 empty glasses that equals 4mml per glass or(4 energies per yulaw)

so thats 4x everything

4x strength
4x speed
4x intelligence

now if you were one of the remaining 25 yulaws you would probably notice that increase, of course you may not, you might be in a position where you can't reach your potential just like yulaw 123(the prisoner). that guy was very strong but sadly he was in a position where he couldn't maximize it.

I imagine the other 22 yulaws were in the same or similar predicaments, and lets not forget that yulaw is the only one aware of what is happening so he has the added advantage of being able to pick them off in their ignorance.

I think what saves gabe law is the fact that his job or profession is one that requires him to be at the top of his game, so he has to be physically fit, mentally sharp, etc. of course that huge chunk of energy from yulaw 123(something like 33.3% or 33x improvement of focus, mental agility, speed, strength, endurance) imagine that combined with his lifestyle, you can understand why he was able to survive yulaw's asassination

Volume of Yu Laws within a carton of milk aside (wtf?), I had the same thought as the OP. I don't remember them mentioning ANYWHERE in the movie that all 125 versions of you usually die at the same time. It could totally be in there, but i've seen this movie a few times and I don't remember it ever being mentioned.

So wouldn't everyone in the universe be getting stronger as they get older? Whether the other me's die naturally or by murder doesn't matter, so as they die off for whatever reason I should gain their strength.

Now that's a plot for a movie: a world overrun by old people because they're the strongest!

You probably wouldn't notice much unless a significant number of "yous" had been killed. Keep in mind that he had killed 122 alternate versions of himself to get to the point we see him in the movie.
