Do you agree with the mutineers?


At the time the commisar and the man with the mustache (I forget his name and rank) arrest Captain Vostrikov, I think it was reasonable to believe the captain was unfit to command the boat. His orders up until that point were suicidal, including ordering all the men below in the presence of a leaking reactor that could blow up any minute. Only after Captain Polenin freed him did he start behaving more reasonably. So I felt like Polenin was a bit harsh on the men who carried out the mutiny. He said, "What they did was wrong", but was it? The commisar had the legal authority. I think it was a judgement call.

I realize this part was fictional, but just for fun, what do you think?
