This was a good movie...why so bad at the box office?
Big time stars, good action. Very funny with no boring spots. I enjoyed this movie. What gives with the poor box office receipts?
Probably because it wasn't nearly as good as you thought it was. Popular movies generally have some socially redeeming values that allow you to appreciate the story line and cheer for someone.
Personally, I found this movie to be mean spirited, unnecessarily gross, with an unsatisfactory "twist" ending.
Even for a comedy it was unbelievable.

It wasn't funny and I was really hoping the old lady would be killed.
How it has anything but a 1 rating is beyond me.

Disagree. It was a good dark comedy. Extremely underrated then and now.

It is an underrated dark comedy and I think it's mean streak is actually kind of refreshing, seeing as how Drew Barrymore and Ben Stiller usually do much milder types of comedies. No, none of the characters weren't really likable, but I don't think they were intended to be. I can see why a lot of people don't care for it, but I think it's a good movie.
