How does shooting and punching people equal emotion? Vin Diesel is normally a pretty good actor but he was down right horrible in this movie. He tried to go for the dark and brooding look, but instead ended up looking confused and constipated. His dialogue carried no weight to it. Also, his relationship with his wife was built so poorly in the movie that it means nothing when she dies. She was a background character. How can I root for the protagonist if I didn’t care for his cause? I read some other posts regarding this movie and I have to agree that the studio did a patch job of putting it together. The pacing was terrible. It’s a shame because I actually like Vin. In “Pitch Black” he was great and had an impressive screen presence. Ever since they packaged him into this leading man/action hero thing, he’s just been sucking. I hate seeing bad movies bring good actors down. I hope he makes a smart decision regarding his next flick.
