I barely like Vin Diesel but 5.5 is ridiculously low.

Let's move aside from the directing of Diesel, which in my honest opinion wasn't that bad at all. The directing for me was very well made and all the rest of the actors played their roles given beautifully. Especially the Latino characters. The story might've been too un-original however it was a brilliant ''popcorn'' film i think.

I gave a 8 and deserves a imdb rating of 6.5-6.9.
Why is it so low, those who agree with a 5.5 show your prove.

Vin Diesel didn't direct this, F. Gary Gray did (The Italian Job 04, The Negotiator, and Friday)

I agree! I was really suprised when I saw it's rating. I thought it was pretty good, but then, I do love Vin. I also think that the acting was extremely good.

Eh, I think it's a fair rating. A decent movie, but nothing to write home about, IMO.

I don't rate to make up for the haters and I rate a movie fair whether I like the lead or cast or not. I just happen to like Vin Diesel but that aside I thought the movie was good and not original but still pretty much well-done and I gave it a solid 7. As of now the score for the movie is 5.8 .... rather low still IMO.
