Did anyone else think this was going to be more about Randolph?

The trailers made it seem like it would be a revenge story about Randolph and, while Randy does try to get his revenge in this movie, it seems more like a sub-plot to the real story instead of the main story like the trailers made it out to be.

I call movies that are considered 'bad' hated movies.

definitely. i thought robin williams was going to be the main character but to me it seemed like edward norton was the primary protagonist.

Exactly what I thought. The DVD cover features Williams, Keener and a silhouette of Smoochy.

I'd say that's what "ruined" the movie. Norton's story isn't interesting or funny in the least (and Keener is miscast - looking back now she's the same every time. No wonder her career never really took off) but Williams is ON FIRE! He steals every scene and is funny as *beep* in this! Mickey from Seinfeld is good as is the boxer character (and Irish mob). Fierstein's character was great, Devito and Stewart are ok if not slightly wasted/underused. The movie's off balance pacing/story hurts it but Robin Williams saves the film (almost).

You Suck...now deal with it.

You must not have seen Keener in "An American Crime."

"Joey, have you ever been in a Turkish prison?"

No I didn't. She's bland. Period. The only movie I can even remember her being in was Out of Sight lol

Trust me, she's nowhere near bland in LOVELY AND AMAZING, or BEING JOHN MALKOVICH--depends on what you watch her in---but she's mainly good at playing characters with some attitude and edge. Her career seems to be based more in indie films than anything, and it's still thriving apparently.

What are you talking about? I mean, she doesn't star in blockbusters and she's rarely the only lead, but she's constantly in movies. And she's still getting accolades.

Since his scenes were (supposed to be) the funniest, they thought it would attract more viewers. Besides, Robin is more famous than Edward.
