There is an extended crime-scene segment with the Spinner/Moochy corpse lying on the ice, a "Ride of the Valkyrie" nazi chase scene, a live-ammunition attempted assassination of the star, blowing off part of his costume head, and then a man falling to his death in front of the crowd (splat?).

My guess is they would variously:
-Demand their money back.
-Sue.
-Put videos on youtube and CNN.
-All of the above.

I wonder if the ice show exists as a separate program.

If the parents from this movie's universe were more concerned, they wouldn't have allowed their children back on the TV show after the penis-shaped cookie incident or even after SMOOCHY's arrest. Yes, the truth came out, but in real life people still treat people who have been wrongly accused like parias. Also, during the ice show, they had no problem in asking RAINBOW RANDOLPH to take pictures with their children.
