Could be a sequel to American History X? Major spoilers

in AHX, we don't know what happens to Derek after Danny got murdered and in DTS we don't know anything about Sheldon before Kidnet discovered him. Here's the way I see it. Derek just lost his mind. He was a good smart kid before his father got murdered which drove him to hate all minorities. He just snapped and turned into this Neo Nazi. Then when he is in prison he transforms back into a good kid again who wants nothing to do with his old ways. Then his younger brother Danny gets murdered and that's how the movie ends. So here's what I think happens after that. He obviously blames himself for his brothers murder and it sends him into a very very deep depression. He probably goes to the cops and testifies against Cameron and the rest of his old crew to try to make things right. (there is a deleted scene where Cameron and Seth are talking and Cameron is very worried about Derek talking to the wrong people) After the D.O.C. is pretty much no longer around, Derek joins the Witness Protection Program and is transferred to New York under the new identity of Sheldon Mopes. Here he gets all of his tattoos removed and turns a new leaf completely by trying to help people. Does work for the community. Creates Smoochy and sings to people in the rehab. He then gets picked up by Kidnet and gets his own childrens TV show. When they do a background check on him they don't know anything about the D.O.C. or him being in prison because since he is now in Witness Protection Program that information is classified and they have no idea that he was ever a neo nazi.....
Then there's the whole bit of Rainbow Randolph (Robin Williams) framing Sheldon by taking him to a white power rally. That synchs in so well with American History X that it's uncanny. I suppose it could be just a coincidence that Sheldon actually used to be a nazi or maybe Randolph did some snooping and somehow came across that information.
Then at the end when Sheldon almost gets killed he snaps and turns back into the evil and angry and murderous Derek Vinyard and tries to murder Jon Stewart and Danny DeVito until the Irish gang snap him back.
This theory makes sense because all throughout American History X Derek keeps changing his ideals. You could even get really carried away with it and even say that After the events of Death to Smoochy he gets a new job working for an insurance company and gets insomnia which causes him to create a split personality and forms Fight Club and Project Mayhem. Mind = Blown
