Should have been one of the funniest movies ever made.

I think it's really funny.

it's not just humor, like Monty Python, it's a satirical story with a real cutting edge.

I think it could have been, but it was just off. The direction really killed it.

I don't know, the premise itself is kind of annoying. I got what they were trying to do. Take something as silly, ridiculous and innocent as goofy children's shows and show it having this seedy, dark, violent, gangster-like underbelly. Oh the satirical hilarity! But it wasn't that funny to me. I liked how Norton's character had integrity though.

I agree something was off about it, possibly in the direction... but I suppose it held my interest enough to get through it. Norton and Williams were good enough.

But overall, to me it was just too obvious in what it was trying to do, and that made it not funny. As well as me not being sure the original idea is that funny anyway...
