Noriko's Dream

When her and her Sensei was walking on a riverbank. The camera pans over to them and they are talking to each other. Anyone know what they are saying?

IIRC the Special Edition shows that scene with dialogue. People say the Special Edition is better - personally, I haven't seen it - but basically, Fukasaku rounded up the cast and shot a few more scenes, and they also extended some existing scenes.

Despite some dodgy banner adverts (perhaps NSFW) - this link gives a detailed breakdown of the differences. The bit you're looking for is at the end.

And I call myself a fan, right?! No, just haven't seen it yet. I can't quite be arsed to buy the DVD again for a few extra minutes, he streamers (Flix, etc) all show the theatrical... I've missed it when they've shown it.
No biggie.

I think I mentioned this in the past, but you can come watch it at mine anytime!

With sound, the scene reinforces the movie's theme of generational divide and the inability of kids and adults to understand or help each other. I'm not sure why the director decided to mute it in the original cut. Maybe he felt it was too heavy-handed?

Ok I feel like an idiot. Turns out the extra footage is on the Director's cut. I bought the four disk set. Watched BR one and two then stored the set in my closet! I guess I had never watched the Director's cut or the extra features disk! Thanks for the link.
