We already have a movie, a book of over 600 pages, and a 15 volume manga. Now what we really need is a good 23-26 episode anime. 13, 23, or 26 is the standard anime episode season length. Sometimes they're 50, but I think 26 would be sufficient. Come on, who agrees with me?
shareI certainly wouldn't mind that. While this film is a classic, the students and their stories are all pretty fast/run of the mill anime stuff given the limited run time. I would love to see it fleshed out better as a series. I think 26 episodes would be sufficient. Maybe even half that depending on how it's done.

shareI think an anime would be a good idea. I think a longer one with close to 50-ish episodes could work as well, depending on how they tell the story. I like the idea of each episode focusing on one of the students background and story, and their experience on the island. It could easily be cut down too, though, and combine the stories of all the Lighthouse Girls into one episode. The same with Kiriyamas group and some of the others.
