The town must not have a lot of crime

I mean seriously if this was a big city or even a decent sized town, no police force (or threat management unit) is going to divert the resources this town's dept did just because someone took pictures of someone's child. Before anyone even know about what was going on in the hotel there's several offices spending a lot of resources just cause someone took pictures of a child apparently in a public place which isn't illegal (not saying its right). Yes there was an implied threat but I seriously don't see such a reaction as that from a police dept.

Mr. Grady, you were the caretaker here.

Actually when it comes to children and possible harm coming to a child a police force will go to any extent

Forgot to say,

Not to mention the pictures were of his bosses daughter where he was just fired from. Police would take that very serious

Remember the uniforms found his wall of photos. THAT escalated the situation.

The manager at Savmart also draws a lot of water in their nice, quiet, little beach community.

I thought the exact same thing. Most far-fetched thing in this movie. Not only did they divert a bunch of manpower over some photos, they did it IMMEDIATELY as if it was a life-threatening emergency. Sure, Jan.
