In the film there is a short scene of a woman singing a few lines of a song, in the evening, I think it is after the celebration, there is no music, and it quickly switches to another scene. Can anyone tell me the name of that song? I know I have heard it before and I can't place it as I'm only an English speaker. It's been driving me nuts, please help!
actually the song is in punjabi language.
name of the song is "Sonre ghar jaan waliye"
it means "As I leave for my father-in-laws's house I will take our dreams with me to became a stranger to you forever".
hey thanks for your help, but i found the song finally...its named Madhaniyan....it goes something like..."madhaniyan..haye o mereya dadhiya rabba.....kinna jamiyan tey kinna ley janiyan......"

If I correctly remember she sings ' Mujhse pehli si mohabbat, mere mehboob naa maang' and 'Teri aankhon ke siwa duniya mei rakhaa kya hai.'
Although, I'm not sure if you were talking about that particular scene.
