His name indeed is Ram Kapoor and he has starred earlier in the Indian television serial GHAR EK MANDIR which was showed on SET.

He seemed to have an American (or Canadian) accent, anyone know where he's from? He may have been planning his move because he is shown listening when Ayesha is upset and asks Rahul to do the dance with her.
