This film is so beautifuly made and colorful, showing the indian culture on a world wide fact, a wedding. If i was an Indian i would proud about this film.
So i want to ask Indian people. How was that film accepted in your country and what is the real situation of India noww behind this happy and cheerful film?
this particular movie is not well received in India because of bold nature of film or maybe because directed by a Canadian Indian. I really love this movie and proud of showing liberal side of india.
Indian weddings are conducted very differently from north to south and east to west. different part of india has different rituals and way of celebrating wedding. In my place (most of the north india) wedding last for couple of days and its quite a fun.
the film was not well accepted in the theater but got acceptance in the film festivals.i think its hard to generalize india based a single film because of the diversity.i think the movie depicts the life of north part of india (specifically delhi). im from the south part of the country and it is different here
