What does "your good name" mean?

At one point someone asks Alice "What is your good name?" is this an Indian expression? I also know one of the songs of the soundtrack is called "Your good name". Just wondering the significance :)

In Hindi we say "aapka shubh naam?" which literally translates to "your good name?"

I assume it's a way to make the question seem courteous and not demanding.
