Is the constant shift between hindi and english when talking common between indians? Or does it depend on status, i.e. an upper class family like the one depicted being more prone to it than a lower class one?

sharei think most indian people use english words a lot even the lower group of the society but only the upper class use that much english in the family conversation.
shareThe continual shifting back and forth is quite common among more educated Indians, i.e., those who speak English well.
You would not see working class or village dwellers speaking like that though.
