too obvious?
i think it was much too obvious he was going to be adam

it was easy to predict
shareWay too obvious.
We knew it was going to be a twisty movie and immediately felt suspicious about Matthew M. As soon as he started reflecting on his backstory as children (maybe first 10 mins of movie) i said he will be telling the story and reversing the role of who he is in that story.
The only thing that was surprising was the cop being the killer of his mum.
Too too too easy
Not TOO obvious. There was something shady. Handcuffs, late night evening without any witnesses. The way he spoke. But hey, the story he was telling... it was quite a childhood "he" had so it wasn't really out of place being like this. I had a hazy hunch like "what if when he's Adam?". But it wasn't like "hell, for sure he's Adam!".
Then again I found the twist that they really killed daemons much more surprising. I thought the whole time they've killed innocent people.
Quite a take on vigilante justice. I like the movie, although it wasn't very gripping in the middle section.
The only thing is way too obvious is the movie poster of Fraility with Matthew McConaughey and his red eyes staring at you. It's kind of gave away of who's the killer from the beginning of the movie.
shareI was surprised at the ending, but was newer to movies with plot twists like this at the time. I remember being shocked and loved the ending.
shareYep, so obvious that people just had to post about it in 2015-2016, lol. I was on these boards when Frailty was released on DVD and nobody was making posts that it was predictable. Sure, 15 years later one can make all kinds of statements regarding films that weren't necessarily true at the time of release. You can do that with pretty much every film released. Some films age better than others and storytelling techniques that could have been rare at the time of release might be commonplace now. Again, the fact that were seeing these kinds of statements 15 years later is really no surprise at all.
Still Shooting With Film!
