About the crimes of the "people" being destroyed (*SPOILERS!*)

Does anybody think that the crimes of the Demons that the father and Adam had destroyed should've been more demonic/Satanic in nature? The evil that we see them do in the visions as revealed near the end are more the stuff that murderers would do rather than otherworldly beings. Honestly, the fact that the crimes shown (three murders, with one of them being a girl) are pretty mundane makes Adam and his father look more like divinely-empowered vigilantes rather than demon slayers and takes away from the big twist that they were right all along (which they were as the FBI tapes and the FBI agents' memories not remembering Adam show at the end). It also just makes the demons look like petty nuisances rather than apocalyptic threats to the world.

Yeah, I completely agree. They certainly came across as vigilantes to me; not "demon-slayers" or whatever.

For a film, we make our own rules and judge accordingly. In reality, any slaying due to visions are insanity. There are no demons or gods to guide people, so our actions are our responsibility.

I always took it as that the people in this world that do those things are in fact demons. Demons are everywhere.
