Bicycle accident
Frank is called to the ER and when he gets there, there is a young boy who was in a bicycle accident. Frank is the overnight supervisor. Seems like a weird time for a boy that age to be out riding his bike.

shareI was thinking the same thing.
Maybe he was out stealing bikes ?
shareOr maybe he was just doing something that didn't make sense like most humans do from time to time.

Obviously an oversight by the writer.
shareHe was the midnight to 8am supervisor, maybe the kid was an early riser and had an bike accident at 7am? I used to ride my BMX at those times when I was a kid.
shareit was completely dark outside the last I remember. but I always thought that was odd.
and lots of times parents don't get their children the help they need asap or don't even know it occurred until much later.
the kid could have had the accident at like 8pm or so and hobbled back inside and to bed. waking up later and there is a hole in his leg and he tells his parents.
you'd be surprised how much this happens in the Bronx...
OH THANK YOU GOD! THANK YOU SO BLOODY MUCH!!! Basil Fawlty
I never thought that. This is a stupid post.

Midnight to 8am, the kid in question could have been delivering newspapers before school. At the time that this movie takes place kids still delivered newspapers on foot or on bikes, and they did it before school (between the hours of 4-6am) when it is justifiably still not that light out.
shareYep, exactly. Hell, I used to deliver newspapers as a kid in the 90s and I had a morning route that had to be done by 8am, so yeah, totally plausible.
