Huge Letdown?

I think the trailer for this movie was just awesome. I remember when I first saw it I thought this movie was gonna be awesome. It looked like the second coming of Carlito's Way. They made it look like it would be the next great gangster movie but it ended up being a big letdown. I'm not saying that the movie was bad but it did not even come close to living up to it's trailer. Does anyone else agree? I thought the movie would be an all out war between the streets and Wallstreet but I guess they went in another direction. The movie was okay. Decent piece to watch but nothing great like I expected after seeing the trailer.

I'll reply to this old post cause I agree and came here looking for a similar one. The trailer was completely missleading, they altered dialogue to make it look like Fat Joe was talking to Leguizamo about Skarsy, and that the movie would be about him trying to track him down. But Fat Joe was (if i remember) actually talking about Leguizamo's character, and the 'dissapearance of Skarsy' didn't happen untill like the last 20 minutes of the movie.
