I'm sorry folks but IMO, the character Jodi Chang is such an annoying brat. Her attitude is so snotty, she was the one who came up with the name 'ass blasters' which i think is silly if you ask me, and also, what is she a know-it-all? When they killed the first ass blaster, they found an egg with it and she said something like "perhaps they developed the ability to fly so that they can carry the egg as far as possible." Sorry but, carry the egg as far as possible? Far from what? Jodi Chang just saw her first ass blaster then, how would she know why the ABs fly? She probably was just assuming, which, for me, is not a good thing to do without facts and proof. Sorry folks =)

Christ, can you make up any more reasons that're totally baseless? The thing about them flying was simply a comment, after an observation, for chrissakes, live with grief. It's not like she was doing the oral portion of her doctorate on the "Evolution of the Ass Blaster." The comment made total sense to me, transport is how species increase their range and ensure diversity, avoiding inbreeding. It's called "evolution." Pretty basic stuff, you may learn about it if you pay attention in school.

How about when she, Burt, and Jack were in the porta-potty, she had to act snotty and say to them, "Okay, we can't stay, we can't go, your turn." Why the hell did she had to act so cocky with that attitude? How about when she and Jack were stuck on the rock and acted so immature, like there's no tomorrow? The character is just plain messed up.

Jack: Whoo! Way to go girl!

Burt: Don't get cocky, that still leaves three!

Jodi: I killed one (saying it to herself with a cocky expression on her face so Burt wouldn't hear).

I anything, Melissa or whats her name was annoying. [EDIT: oh wait it's Mindy, how did I came up with Melissa??]

1) The whole thing where she ignores Buford and adores Jack because she thinks Jack is goodlooking or something.
2) When she and her mother are attacked by the Ass Blaster she, in a moment of infinite wisdom decides to FEED it. Considering the way Shriekers multiply this was about the most stupid thing one could do.
3) The whole 'older woman'comment annoyed me, and was an illustration of her arrogant attitude.

Jodi's comment on the way ass blasters transport their eggs was actually pretty smart, and after she kills the ass blaster in the container, she obiously on a huge adrenaline rush, who wouldn't be?

Conclusion: Jodi, to me, was an ok character, Mindy definitely was not. Only the stereotyped nerdy paleontologist was more annoying.

I thought that expression looked more 'pissed' because Burt didn't really care about her killing the Assblaster.

Jodi said about them flying to carry the eggs part after the four of them (just before the Assblaster killed Miguel) saw the Assblaster flying and she put the two together after she saw the egg in the Assblaster, she had just come up with a theory like everyone else has done throughout the movie series.

Mindy heated the ham to throw it at the Assblaster so Mindy and her mother could get away into the freezer.

She had great chemistry with the young guy with the hat. The one she rode into the desert with.

I thought she was awesome -- her character was funny and made the movie much better than it would have been without her.

I agree, Mindy came off more as a spoiled brat in this film moreso than Jodi did. I really liked Jodi, she was funny and she was smart. Mindy was cool but she was definetely more of a brat than Jodi was. How she treated Buford, how she treated her mother after she scolded her about putting scotch tape on Jack's jeans. Although, that really did come in handy at the end for Jack.
