shareMost of it is true unfortunately. The massacre in the Bronx of Az and his family- 4 killed, The kidnapping and death of the 12 yo boy by his uncle and Alpo, The fast lifestyles in the flick that are now glamorized all happened in the late 80's, early 90s in NYC. Check out www.streetlegendz.biz and www.nycstreetstars.com for dvd's on The story behind the Mob Style movie.
shareYes, im afraid most of the things in the movie(except the name changes),really did happen.
shareIt pretty much is true but they changed a few minor things. Alpo did go out like a snitch and a traitor. Before this movie came out, the old heads use to talk about AZ, Rich and Alpo. If you a punk or a rat, they still call people an Alpo
shareThat is similar to the way they use the name "Mark" in Cali. I don't know the whole story but I know it's because of a punk ass dude.

It took me an hour to read... it makes the movie look like a children's book. It's hard to understand that this actually happened.
what a gruesome story. Only the Devil can torture and kill a 12 year old boy for money. When you deal drugs you open the gates to Hell. anybody dumb enough to sell drugs deserves whatever happens to them

I watched this story on a court tv show. Only later did I see the movie and put it all together.
shareWhat happened to Wayne?
sharewayne got the death penalty because of alpo. they where going to give it to him (alpo) but when he told he got off, and they gave it to wayne. that whole situation was crazy because wayne was helping alpo who was not from DC.

Alpo didn't snitch on Rayful, he was already locked up by the time Alpo was arrested.
