Watching it now (1st time)
I've just seen the part where he fights a demon guy under water, he barely did anything and the guy died, there's not real action for the little kiddies (or anyone for that matter) to get their teeth into.
So what was the point in having that scene ? It was lame ! Then ofcourse you have the fact that Ghost Rider's face looks so goofy compared to the underwater-guy's scary fangy face, then the fact that you awkwardly cut to Nic Cage walking away after the fight (if you could call it a fight) and he's trying to act exhausted, like he's just been in a big fight and changed back from being Ghost Rider, but he couldn't possibly look more unconvincing. You know his stamina is not deptleted atall.
The acting is truly horrendous in this film, and the scary voices, action.etc make Van Helsing look butch and serious.
That's not even an exadjeration, not in the least ! Having said that, Nicholas Cage is a great actor under bad direction and bad writing, sorry, horrendously bad directing and horrendously bad writing, it's some feat that he manages to be atall credible. There's no way the 2nd one could be worse than this, which by the way I thought it was going to be a good movie after reading all about it in the SFX magazine, Nicholas Cage doesn't even play him when he has the CG skull in this one, you do realise ?!
