My name is LEEEEEGIONN...cause we are MAAAAAAANNNNYYYYYYYY! !!!!!

I've heard some stupid lines in my life. but mannnnn!!! To hear this from a Big Budget Hollywood action movie....Geezzz.

I just saw ROBOT JOX the other day and the writers of that movie would have laughed at a stupid line like that..

Stupid movie. Nic Cage is the real Ghost Rider.

He keeps riding movies....Straight to HELL!!!!!

I actually have to post the ending with this scene here.

**spoler** if there is anything to spoil on this movie..

And Yes...this is the ACTUAL ending of the movie. Not fan made or anything.

And Nic's "line" of "I am the only one that can walk in both worlds, I am Ghost Rider" has to be one of the "most out of place and worst delivered lines" ever in cinema history.

Sorry but it is true.! I know it's a matter of opinions and taste, but to me at least. It really sucks. Made this movie worst than it already was. I was hoping for at least a good or average ending to wash the bad taste. Still waiting.

Here is for a reboot/remake or a sequel with brains.

that stupid line came from the bible.
it wasn't made up by hollywood.

reply

I know it's from the Bible but the way they presented it was real cheesey.

reply

Exactly. I LOVED that they used that line. I REALLY would have appreciated it if it didn't sound so stupid. The way they delivered it was just lame.

It was something that should have driven me nuts with it's awesomeness, but instead it was annoying.

reply

I actually thought it soundd cool but he should've said it in a more demonic voice like "WE ARE LEGION! FOR WE.........ARE MANY!!!!!!" Not in that lame voice he had.

reply

Honestly it sounds like he forgot what he was gonna say.

"WE ARE LEGION! FOR WE... UH... ARE MANY!"

What's next? "I am the Ghost Rider, for I am the Ghost Rider"
I know it's a biblical quote, but it's very lame.

This movie made me want to

my
life.

But really, I was cringing throughout the entirety of this movie, (and this is coming from someone who absolutely adores action/comic book based/superhero movies, with the notable exception of Superman) but as soon as I got to the end?

I was cracking up so, so hard. The dialogue was just that bad. IMO, if the entire movie was that cheesy/bad, I would have enjoyed it a lot more.

Probably the worst comic book movie I've watched in my opinion. I never read the comic books, but I usually like comic book movies. Ghost Rider, as a movie, bugged the hell out of me. The writer's saying it's 300 feet, goal post to goal post, the cheesy lines like above in their delivery. The director should have worked with the actors or get fired, and whoever does fact checking on the set, fired too. But what really got me, the fight scenes. We get led up to think there will be this cool scene, but it's just Ghost Rider beaten up, then pulls some move standing still that kills the bad guy in a timely matter. C'mon, do something at least.

So, in other words, you don't know what the *beep* you're talking about, but think you're entitled to an opinion.
You are mistaken.

reply

Yep, anyone is entitled to an opinion. Mine was based off the movies I've seen that came from comic books for their source. Hellboy, loved it, Spider-man 1 and 2, loved them, X-Men 1 and 2, great movies, Red, good also, and several other movies based on comic books. I liked Hellboy enough from the movie that I bought several of the novels. I just don't like reading comics. I haven't since reading Predator Vs. Batman. As for Ghost Rider, it should have been one I would like. The whole flaming skull on a motorcycle should have been great. I was excited to see it, more so than when I was going with friends that chose Hellboy. Sorry I don't read comic books. My parents frowned upon it, but would get me Stephen King and Michael Crichton books instead. Read Jaws in 6th grade and a lot of Stephen King books too.

To the original poster of this thread.

If you had any religious education in your life then you would realise that the sentence is based on a biblical demon and he gave that response to Jesus.

reply

To Syboat.....

If you took your EGO out ur Ass..You would realize that it could have been said by whomever...and STILL it was a Corny, Stupid and really Idiotic line that needed NOT to be on the movie.

I am not saying that the line itself its stupid. The whole delivery and placement of the line is out of whack. But then again this movie has to be the WORST Comic book movie ever made (Yes even worse that FF, Electra even Blade 3) so it might as well be right on in that scene.

To Edoman...

At least im not talking out of my ass, It would have been completely irrelevant if it was said by whomever... I thought the line was appropriate considering "Legion" possessed that body. But this is my opinion.

Caio.

reply

that line sounded like a wimpy dude trying to squeal, they totally failed in that scene.

but at least people remember it,and that makes it win

reply

It was the worst line in the movie, the actor was god awful. Dunno what they were smoking.

reply

Yes, the line comes from the Bible (Mark 5:9, I believe).

But whenever I see that scene I think of two things. The guy looks like Mark (coincidentally) from Roseanne, and he sounds like Wall-E with his battery run down. It sort of makes me chuckle.

reply

Came here to make this very thread. Cage was horrible, of course - like his writhing on the ground scene. There were other dumb, embarrassing lines and moments, yet the movie was still watchable and somewhat entertaining.

"Worthington, we're being attacked by giant bats!"

reply

I also laughed at this part!

reply

"My name is Legion: for we are many."

They should edit the bible again and make the quote "My name is Legion: for I am many." or "Our name is Legion: for we are many.".

reply

Yeah, it's definitely "Our name is Legion for we are many." I don't know why they put "My name is Legion." Legion was a demon in the Bible that had literally hundreds of demons inside of him. Him saying 'My' like he's one entity when there are hundreds of other demons inside of him didn't make much sense at all. I also this film really isn't that bad, it's a hell of a lot better than the sequel though, I'll tell you that. The only thing cool about that film was how the Ghost Rider looked and Idris Elba and that was pretty much it.
