Sort of, general trend of the story. Condor is a regular guy drawn into the "spy world" by events, developing his skills and fighting his way though the plot.

Bourne is doing sort of the same, but with the CHEAT code of having his skills already there.

that is a really good point.

i guess the biggest similarities in the stories is they are both on the run from the CIA.

I'm a sucker for the Joe Everyman, being drawn into an over the top adventure.

I think my favorite example is, The Man that Knew Too Little.

Great Movie. Bill Murray in the lead.

Kind of. All the agency resources after both. Neither knows why they are after them. In Bourne's case he doesn't know who he is. In Condor's case, he doesn't know what he knows.
