The impression given is that they had some kind of afair when they were together... I guess Eamons wife found out and put an end to it (he says something like "mummy is not here..... thank God!") and there is always that akwardness around the two of them.

From watching the movie.... It's not said, but its for the viewer to make their mind up on.... Within a few scenes I just felt that there was something between them that was more than just friends
shareI didn't get that feeling. I always assumed they were just friends who met with a bunch of others at Eamon's house.
Eamon saying "Mommy's not here, thank God" was just to tell he's glad his wife doesn't see a former friend and her guy broke into the house. But that's just my opinion.

True, but there are a few comments. when they are cleaning Eamon says "is he good for you?" to Marie, which seems very protective... and Marie replied "you know me".
Maybe looking to much into it, but all teh time it felt to me that Eamon and Marie had history that was not as straight forward as the plot may suggest.

I believe Eamon is a good friend, someone who knows Marie quite well and knows about her behaviour or relationships. He seemed almost protective. They were cooking BTW.

As I stated before I don't get that feeling. Eamon seems to be too ordinary to be a love interest of Marie. But who knows? We might never find out.

Just finished Ultimatum. Nowhere does it say in the script that Martin is Marie's step-brother. He refers to Marie as his sister.
I think I will stick with my original thought that Eamon is Marie's step-brother. share
One of the FBI guys mentions a step brother, Conclin later says half brother. No 'real' brother is ever mentioned.
OK, there's only one (step)brother who's name is Martin Kreutz. Eamon was her friend, maybe with benefits. But you are free to stick to your version.

Faith and confidence nothing, its just a movie.
For someone they described as a "gypsie" and "drifter", its amazing they got the information they did.
There is still nothing to point at Eamon as a family relation to Marie. Also, if Marie really needed money, they why not simply go to her brother who "always had money"?
Where is it clear?
Fact Marie has a half-brother only gets a passing mention by Conklin ("get a tap on Granny and the Half Brother") once about a quarter of the way through the movie, and Eamon does not appear for about another 45 minutes.
If anything, if you take what Conklin said, they were keeping a eye on Maries Grandmother and Half Brother, and the fact is the Professor only found them because they just happened to go to the one place she lived that was close to Paris ("they can not fly, trains are to risky, so where do they go?").
So I would say there is no clear proof that Eamon and Marie are related, and its just people putting 1 + 1 = 5.... then the theory is totally blown out the window in Ultimatum, where we finally do meet Maries brother.
It's totally not her half/step brother.
