Good film but one flaw I noticed...

When it became clear quite early on that the 3 guys wanted something inside the panic room Meg & her daughter didn't appear to make much effort to search the room & establish what it was. It became evident that there was money but they didn't know it was in a concealed safe. If they unearthed something in one of the boxes for example they could have left it outside in a sneaky moment whilst the 3 blokes were downstairs - as it happened it wouldn't have come to that but they didn't seem to have a concerted search of what they may have wanted.
It could be I wasn't paying attention though :)
What say you?

I agree. Maybe in their "panic" they just didn't think to ask what the men were after and if they could just hand it over. Although they wouldn't have been able to open the safe themselves.

Agreed - I was waiting for them to say "Well what do you want and we'll give it to you." But, moot anyway.

When they were "chatting" with the burglars Meg asked them but they did not want to tell her much. I think they searched the room quite a bit when they were looking for something to eat. They would not search under the carpet or ceiling. Anyway they would have not been able to open the safe even if they had found it.
