Not your average road trip movie

I know that Jack Nicholson later made The Bucket List, another unconventional road trip movie, and if you google for a road trip movie, it will show hundreds of movies. This one kinda stands out for me at least. Depressing? Not as depressing as The Bucket List. I suppose i could count The Odd couple and Grumpier Old Men as similar to The Bucket List. I guess i haven't seen movies like About Schmidt, they may exist. I watched this movie around the time i was watching retrospective movies such as Life starring Eddie Murphy and that guy from bad boys. Where as i going with this? I wanted to mention another movie that is out of my brain, oh yes, i remember now, Oh Brother where art thou plus Joe Dirt. I am like going through movies i've seen then mentioning them together.
