So Warren was a conservative?
He was listenig to Limbaugh in the car.
It would be safe to assume that Warren Schmidt was a Conservative Republican. Hence, his listening to Rush Limbaugh. Also, Warren worked as an actuary in an insurance company. While it would not be right to say that all people who work in the insurance industry are Conservative Republicans, I would hazard to say that many in that industry would tend to be to the right politically. In regards to the movie ABOUT SCHMIDT, I don't think Alexander Payne (the director) was focusing on politics per se. Rather, he was trying to show a portrayal of a character. Warren Schmidt was a stereo-typical Mid-Western male who would tend to be very Conservative in his views. Plus, he was very traditional in his thinking. I think that is what Alexander Payne was trying to show.
shareHe might be politically conservative. But he is definitely a traditional midwestern father and husband who is aghast at the whacky family in Denver that his daughter is marrying into. This film showcased quite the culture clash.
sharei bet you a nickle he's a member of the modern whig party.
Where there's smoke, there's barbecue!
I would say he was a Republican, but he had 'adopted' a black child in Africa. Not sure how right wing he really is.
Its that man again!!
He did that because he was having an end-of-life crisis. I'm not sure he's a Republican by the end of the movie.
shareOkay, there it is--the stupid remark of the day. WTF, do you left wing Democrats think you're the charitable people in this country? Well, Pissmark10, this remark shows how really uncharitable you are.
shareerzsebet1829 when stupidity was being handed out you were first in line.
I think you are right I am uncharitable ;)
Its that man again!!
Not everyone who listens to Rush agrees with him.
Personally, I think he has it on just for some background noise. It's not tuned up loud, he doesn't seem to be listening too closely.
Ruprecht! Do you want the genital cuff?
