Please correct me if I'm wrong, but...
...towards the climax of the film, when the Learjet was about to land and conduct Gamble's operation to wisk everyone, including the wealthy bigshot suspect (forget his name), to a foreign country (probably Mexico) and safety. THEY COULD HAVE SUCCEEDED IN ESCAPING!! HOW? Simple. We all know that an aircraft flying nocturnally could be spotted for miles, after all, that's one of the reasons for Nav Lights; all the pilot had to do was switch-off the damn navigation lights, as that is precisely how they were spotted in the first place. From what I saw, the 6th Street Bridge was pretty-well lit up; the pilot was a pro, especially, as LL Cool J mentioned, "he would have to have some balls" to land on a bridge like that...and he sure as hell did! So why couldn't he turn off his nav lights, particularly over a "no-fly" zone like the downtown area? Nobody would have spotted him, he would have landed, Gamble & Co. would have boarded, and Hello "Margaritaville" (as per Gamble lol). Meanwhile, Hondo and his crew would have been oblivious to the whole thing and eventually would have been heading for the ACTUAL airport, as would everyone else....COMMENTS PLEASE!!!!
