Bet on the Range

Street's been in the cage for 6 months and obviously he's still going to the range.
Why take the bet?
He was a S.W.A.T. officer and still staying in shape and keeping his skills sharp.

reply

You are not a macho, competitive testosterone driven dude, are ya?

reply

Actually I am, what I forgot to leave out is why they think that he let his skills get dull

Edit: It seemed to the other SWAT Officers that it was an easy money bet

reply

The officers that make the bet I think were transferred into SWAT after Street got put into the cage, so they had no idea what kind of skills he actually had. They just assumed he was working in there because he couldn't cut it in the field.

No boxer and McCabe were in SWAT at the same time as Street, they would know his skills. McCabe even told him and Gamble that they were heroes.

McCabe was an arrogant macho guy who didn't think the "gun bunny" could match skills with him, no matter how much he trained.

reply

I know I'm 3 years late to this...
But this arrogance by McCabe was stupid. He knew (or should have known) Street's skill level. Thinking he could win? Sure, o.k.
Thinking it was an easy victory over some gun bunny? AND he knew he was SWAT (and prolly knew he was special forces?).

Firing a gun on the range is a lot different to running drills every other day. TJ had no idea that Street was a machine outside of work with beach runs and all the other *beep*

Just because a former Olympic swimmer goes for a dip once in a while does not mean they can suddenly jump straight back in to the Olympics and win a gold medal. Street ate, breathed and slept SWAT - Hondo could see that, TJ could not...

Ya Kirk-loving Spocksucker!
