AK-47s ... hahah. Also, another goof?
At the press conference after the team foils the attempt by Alex's henchmen to take him from the pulled-over bus, Captain Fuller says something about how the attackers had AK-47s. This is among the dumbest parts in a movie full of them. Did he say this just to sensationalize what took place? To refresh the memory of anyone who may not have recently seen this movie, neither of the attackers had an AK-47. The one who was killed first had maybe a semi-automatic (maybe a TEC-9?), and the one with the shaved head (the same guy who picked Alex up from the airport) had a silenced pistol.
I wonder if what Fuller said to the media was an attempt at sensationalizing the attack. Has to be, right? It would be a seriously awful continuity/editing error, if not - there isn't an AK-47 in that attack scene, period. There may have been some in later scenes (when the gangsters from around the city attempt to ambush the caravan and take Alex from the S.W.A.T. truck), but there were none in the two-man bus mission. There were a bunch of witnesses to what happened there, and no one bothered to correct him when he mentioned AK-47s. It's a total lie or Fuller is just a complete moron.
This movie is so bad while also being slightly entertaining.
Also, isn't T.J. hit by a paintball in the training exercise on the plane? The officer who hit him couldn't point out to Fuller/etc. that he hit T.J.? From what I remember, it was a point-blank shot. The shooter would have to be blind to not be able to tell that he hit someone with that shot. It seemed that the team would get credit for passing the mission only if none of them got hit, but T.J. clearly did. The officer who shot him could've pointed it out, and T.J. somehow was able to hide it from everyone as he exited the plane/walked around afterwards?
Hahah ... whatever. Thankfully, no major sequels/etc. came from this movie. If you have a working brain/intellect then you have to question the authenticity/accuracy/legitimacy of the majority of its scenes.
