Many small towns there in the US a great places to live. People are friendly and caring. I would love to leave LA for a small town, preferably somewhere warm.

The grass is always greener. I've lived in big cities and small towns, they both have serious drawbacks.

Small towns is a refuge for the less competitive, it’s the minor leagues, but with the crime here in LA now anywhere is better!
