Romantic movies that even alpha males can enjoy; this is one of them.

I'm more of a romantic myself, but I think this movie is one even alpha males can enjoy. What are some other good "chick flicks" for guys? Here's my list, what would you add?

FIREPROOF
FIRST KNIGHT
GORGEOUS (JACKIE CHAN)
HITCH
JOE VS. THE VOLCANO
MISS CONGENIALITY
PENELOPE
THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA
PRIDE AND PREJUDICE
THE PRINCESS BRIDE
RETURN TO ME
SWEET HOME ALABAMA
TANGLED
TWILIGHT: BREAKING DAWN PART 2
WARM BODIES

If you're interested in reading my rationale for why each of these is "guy-friendly," read my article at: http://www.mormonmovieguy.com/2013/02/keep-your-man-card-15-chick-flic ks-guys.html

I would never consider "The Princess Bride" to be a chick flick. Don't let the name fool you.

You got it wrong. An alpha male as you call it would have preferred to see him sign the divorce papers and tell her to get her Yankee butt out as soon as he found out that she got engaged while still married and all that it suggests. I don't think an alpha male would take too kindly to her infidelity whether separated pending a divorce or not. He probably would rather see him rewarded for his hard work in improving his situation by moving on and getting the kind of girl he deserves not a self centered, condescending, disrespectful biatch like her.

Yeah OP doesn't seem to know the true personality of an Alpha. An Alpha male wouldn't take her bull, would have the signed the papers early on willingly because she was too independent minded. So any Alpha would watch this movie and think it was a waste of time and unrealistic.

"Alpha male"? Who actually calls themselves that?

reply

It's not a name, it's a description of ones personality. A true alpha male may be descrided as such but would never call himself that knowing it's not necessary to do so.

Dirty Dancing

I think that this movie is guy-friendly too. I've rated it 6/10 which means I wouldn't mind seeing it again.
