Roma?

Hi!

I noticed while watching this movie that there is a clip (just like an insert) of a lot of cars going in front of the Coloseum. Now this clip clearly seems to be older, and for that reason, and also the fact that I don't think Roman Coppola would waste a lot of money to cut of a huge part of central Rome, find a lot of cars from the 60's, and have them drive in front of the Coloseum for 30 seconds. I assume this clip is from an older movie set in Rome, and wondering if anyone knows from which movie it is taken? Maybe Roma?

Hi friend!

Just wanted to inform you that no movies has ever been set in Rome.

It's appearantly illegal to film in that city, for humanitarian reasons.

The footage in CQ was a skillfully executed miniature model combined with stop-motion.

As for CQ being set in Rome - it is actually nothing but a broad misconception, the film is actually set in the suburbs of Milan, Italy. It was, however, filmed in a studio on Sicily, as a homage to the Godfather-trilogy.

I hope this answers your question,

Dang, that's funny!

But no, the film was stock footage found by Roman Coppola, he says so on the audio commentary.
