Szpilman's will to live

I know from both book & film, that naturally Szpilman had momentary doubts of whether to *go on*, despite it all.
But did anyone else find it just mind-blowing just HOW determined he was?

I mean, he had to hide out in tables next to another person, live on a loaf of bread with jelly, in blown-apart neighborhoods, in ghettos with almost no food or water, and even his best accomodations...he is LOCKED IN an apartment all alone no less.

Granted the world had more hope to improve than it would today, but still.

Could you handle it?

I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus.
Didn't he discover America?
Penfold, shush.

Well you can't know this. You might think now that you wouldn't be able to, but if you were in real life situation things would change, you would discover how actually strong you are and humans in general.

Bottom line, humans don't know how physically and psychologically strong they are until put in these kind of situations
