one of the best movies ever made

This movie is mesmerizing. The music, Chopin, my beloved Chopin, wonderful acting and the accuracy of events, it is just something I cannot compare to others.

Half of my family was either in the camps or they were fighting against the Germans. I know the stories but I never felt like a movie could actually give me an insight into what my late family members went through.


I re-watched the Pianist last night and I cannot stop thinking about it. Again. The humiliation, the naivety, then the fight and the simple struggle to survive. This is not a movie about heroes, this is a story for all survivors and reminder to all the people who lost their lives because the world was too blind to see what is happening.
