The town where their lake house was is really sweet looking. Anyone have an idea where it is?

I could see it being in Orange County somewhere. Then again it did look Midwestern also. Perhaps just because of the power of suggestion since the movie is set in Michigan.

i just found out that part of this was filmed in my town, Grand Haven, Michigan!

i havent seen it but i doubt the house part was filmed here because there arnt really any mansions by the beach.

Alas, the grand lake house the boys stay in while vacationing at Grand Harbor (in “American Pie 2”) doesn’t even really exist - at least not anymore. It was never a real house. The producers found an empty lot near the beach at Paradise Cove in Malibu and simply built a prop house on the spot, which they used for exterior shots - then they used a warehouse in the Valley for interior shots.

I have lived on the coast of Southern California all my life and no scene in that movie looks like it was filmed here.

When they first roll into town they go down Main St in Seal Beach but I'm not sure where the rest of the movie was filmed. Here is a picture where you can see the sign for the post office in Seal Beach
