Andre the Giant
Dont know if anyone else noticed this, but during the andre & haku vs demolition match, andre is never tagged into the match at all, was this due to his ill health at this point? just wondered people!!
shareI think it was just an artistic choice on their part to have him interfere on numerous occasions without ever officially tagging in. His health was visibly deteriorating by this point, but he wrestled Demolition in Japan a month later and was tagged in on numerous occasions. It's possible that he was coping with an injury at WrestleMania, but I don't think that his declining health was the reason for him never tagging in.
It was kind of a cool concept, but it really did give the impression that he no longer had any stamina. Even so, if they had wanted to, they could have had him tag in, deliver a headbutt, and tag back out. No, I think it was just a choice on their part.
I love how they finally turned him babyface at the end of this match,the ovation they give him as he leaves the arena is awesome,god bless you andre.
