Does this movie set Hispanics / latino people back?

me personally i think it does but i'm white. and i think that what's that say for what the actual Latino and Hispanics think. I think it projects a negative stereotype that all they're good for is meanial tasks. Yet most Hispanics in NYC based shows/movies are the role of Maid's and care takers specifically nanny's. Why would a powerful woman like Jennifer Lopez do a movie that could have set back her race even further?

I don't think it does. A lot of Hispanics and Latios have to work in jobs like that; being maids, busboys at resturantes, and taking jobs that other people don't want. It is just protraying accurate life.

I don't think it sets hispanics/latinos back (I'm half hispanic,btw).
But I don't see what illegal immgration has to do with this movie...Jennifer Lopez's character isn't an illegal immigrant.
