Disappointing Film

I thought this would be an uplifting film but was disappointed. It had all the sterotypes(Hispanic family with no father around, etc). Miss Lopez was miscast as a maid and looked terrible in an unflattering wardrobe. The script was terrible, too. How could a fine actor like Ray Fiennes take such a role? The photography was disappointing, too. All the outdoor scenes of New York were shot on overcast, dismal days. No shine was shining, which I guess was appropriate for such a dismal film. This could have been a fun, uplifting film but turned into a disaster.

I expected little and that's what I got. My main disappointment was seeing Bob Hoskins in a small role. I know Hollywood careers go up and down and all around ... but still.

Aren't you gonna tell me to break a leg?
Break 'em both.
